Here to Guide. Here to Help.

BACKGROUND

I grew up in New England, and took an unconventional route to Texas. That said, I got here just as soon as I could. Out of high school I worked in the trades until I got into personal training. Prior to moving to Texas, I spent five years building a successful personal-training business in a Boston gym.

I moved to Austin to attend St. Edward’s University. I then attended law school at the University of Texas at Austin. Throughout my time at St. Edward’s and UT Law, I put myself through school by working full time in building another successful personal-training business, this time at Gold’s Gym in Bee Cave.

After law school I worked for two firms. First, I worked in the Dallas office of an international firm that focused on defending property-insurance companies. Second, I worked in the Round Rock office of a national law firm focusing on wills and trusts. After the pandemic hit, I decided it was time to combine this experience and put it to use in opening my own law firm.

PHILOSOPHY

As a solo attorney, I believe in the importance of providing the best possible client experience and being as responsive as possible. At the end of the day, I don’t work for myself. I work for you.

Grogan Law has an Austin office, and I have, on rare occasions, met with clients there. However, if I’ve learned anything through the pandemic, it’s that working from the office is often unnecessary. Most people don’t want to drive into Austin to meet with an attorney, and I don’t blame them. I work almost exclusively from my home in Georgetown, with my two Boxers (Duke and Duchess) by my side.

Further, I work directly with my clients, whether over the phone, on Zoom, or in person. For my clients in Travis, Williamson, Bell and Hays counties, I am happy to come to you directly to discuss estate-planning, probate and insurance claims. Choosing the right attorney is as personal as it is important. I strive to earn my clients’ trust by providing personal guidance throughout the process and by being as responsive as possible.

Attorneys are often criticized for taking an eternity to return phone calls and emails. I run my law firm differently. Barring some kind of unforeseen catastrophe, I will get back to you within forty-eight hours of receiving your phone call or email. After all, no attorney works for one client only, but you should feel like you are your attorney’s only client. This is what I strive for as your attorney.
